Tour in Rwanda:

Day 2: Kigali – Ruhengeri
Travel north to Ruhengeri, the “Land of a Thousand Hills”.
Ruhengeri is the nerve centre of

friendly town centre. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in
Ruhengeri.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking Expedition
Trekking through the virungas brings you too close with
years of natures own best. The trail

mysterious intimacy of the
rainforest, alive with the calls of colourful birds and
chattering of the rare golden monkey, and
littered with fresh spoor of the mountains’ elusive
populations of buffalo and elephant. Tracking
gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of
the Virungas is a magical experience.

Wake up and have breakfast, then visit the beautiful region
of the twin Lakes Burera and
Ruhondo. You will be introduced to traditional sustainable
farming methods with African
vegetables and fruits, visit the local fishermen and also

from the adjacent villages. You will then have a launch
cruise in one of the traditional canoes
and have a visit to the convent “Foyer de Charité”, visit

man

the tea plantations, do some shopping

repeatedly gained tragic publicity in the
past decade because of enormous refugee camps, hunger,
epidemics and, recently, a devastating
volcanic eruption that reminded of the fate of the historic
town of Pompeii and then drive to
Kigali
Day 6: Cultural tour
Enjoy an early drive to Nyanza, the historical seat of the
ancient Rwandan kings and visit the
Palace, then drive to Butare, Rwanda’s cultural centre and
visit the National Museum. Drive

art of pottery as well as singing, drumming and dancing.

Kigali, which marks the end of your
safari.
