Swara Plains Acacia Camp is about 45 minutes from the Jomo
Kenyatta airport or 36 Km's along
Nairobi - Mombasa highway. Escape the city hustle and bustle
on this beautiful unspoilt piece of
Africa. Swara Plains Acacia Camp is situated on the Kapati
plains opposite rugged Lukenya Hill.
It has exclusive access to 20,000 acres of gently rolling
terrain. Unknown to many, Swara Plains
Acacia Camp hosts a resident population of over 3000 game
animals and over 270 identified bird
species. Comfortable accommodation and good home cooking is
available at the camp. Evening
game drives, cycling and fishing in many of the seasonal
dams are some of the activities in the
conservancy.
Swara Plains Conservancy is just 30 minutes out of the city
of Nairobi. Swara Plains Wildlife
Conservancy is situated on the Kapati Plains, 35 km
southwest of the capital, Nairobi, just off
the main Nairobi-to-Mombasa highway. The Small World Country
Club on the southern side
of the road marks the entrance way to Swara. This 20,000
acres ranch is old wild Africa at its
very best: wide open savannah grasslands, tall yellow fever
trees, endless views, over 3000
resident population of easy to see plains game and +270
birds species. Swara Plains Conservancy
is part of the Tsavo and Amboseli eco-system and with the
exception of Elephants, Rhinos
and Buffaloes all the other plains game found in Tsavo and
Amboseli are found here. You will
see big herds of Oryx, Elands, Wildebeests, Giraffes,
Monkeys, Hartebeests, Zebras, Impalas,
Grant's and Thompson's Gazelles, Warthogs and the occasional
Gerenuk in total absence of mass
tourism.
